    The Problem

    $50 billion in revenue is left on the table every year, and the grid is suffering with the integration of new renewables.

    Energy prices shift every few minutes across dozens of overlapping markets — day-ahead, intraday, balancing, frequency regulation. A single battery must decide, in real time, whether to charge, discharge, or hold. The stakes are real money, and the risk is grid failure.

    In finance, this kind of problem gets solved by quantitative traders — teams of PhDs building algorithmic systems that execute faster and smarter than any human. In energy, most battery operators still rely on fixed rules or spreadsheets.

    Grids are becoming unstable. On April 28, 2025, with renewables at 78% of Spain's electricity, the entire Iberian grid collapsed in 90 seconds. 50 million people lost power for up to 16 hours. Batteries are the solution — but only if operated intelligently.

    These aren't two separate problems. Revenue and stability are two sides of the same coin: the AI that maximizes battery profits is the same AI that keeps the grid from collapsing.
